SOPHIE MARTIN was created in 1995 by French entrepreneur Bruno Hasson in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Born and raised in France, Bruno Hasson moved to Indonesia with the dream to provide Indonesian women the latest trends in Parisian fashion and beauty.  

With his unique French flair, Bruno started designing and creating bags from his home and sold his first collection to his neighbours and friends.  The demand for his products grew quickly and the Sophie Martin brand spread throughout the vast archipelago of Indonesia.

The unprecedented demand for Sophie Martin products led to an important decision: to nurture a community of resellers.

Thanks to the passion and integrity of loyal Sophie Martin members, the brand became an industry leader and continues to grow year on year.

Today, Sophie Martin is a global brand with more than 50 millions handbags sold worldwide. The brand also diversified successfully by offering a growing collection of cosmetics and fragrances.
